When Belinda Carlisle went solo
in 1986,it was the very best career
move.Even though the first album
Belinda was made on the IRS label,
the same label to record the popular
Gogos,with Belinda Carlisle as the
lead singer of the Gogos.
To help her bring out her pretty
voice,Belinda Carlisle,had voice
lessons in England.It worked out
very well,that her big smash hit
Mad About You,went to #3 on the
Billboard Charts.Then there was
the hits songs Feel The Magic and
Stuff and Nonsense that both had
romantic tones of love to the songs,
gave feeling to her.
Both there was more,the song that
sends up chills of loneliness gives
the feeling of missing someone so
much you cry yourself asleep with
a pillow,because either your love
left you,broke up,or he died.It has
the ability to pull at our heart srings,
since both men and woman,and even
you girls and boys can relate to this.
The song was Since You've Been
Gone.I suggest if you listened to it,
have your sweetheart next to while
holding her close to your arms,with
a box of tissue.It get's to me every-
time,deeply I hear it,even I just go
and listen to this beautiful song.
I think Belinda's Band of Gold
has more feeling,then the original
singer,who sang the song,and was
flat in area's from the seventies.
Also that beauty Belinda in green
sings lead on Wouldn't Be Nice on
a BeachBoys Special.
Then I Feel Like Magic,wants
you to hold Belinda in your arms so
Mad About You rockin' beat will
grabs you,and Belinda's petty voice
takes over,as if she was singing to
you,pulls you in and hooks you, so
that you want to hear her sing more.
The original video is first,and then
the new extended mix,that Belinda
leaves it to her professional mixers.
A year later Belinda Carlise would
get a complete makeover.Her hair is
now red with long curly locks.Her new
style would make the media look at her
differently.In 1987 Belinda's #1 song was
Heavens A Place On Earth.Up to date hip
hits off this album.
I Get Weak #3,her voice would raise,
she said: I Get Weak,just then lowering,
so she could say the cool theme of the
song again.
Next at #4 is Circle In The Sand with
the music video of her pictures on clothes-
pens,starting out milder,about the waves
dashing against the sand.The chrous took
a circle working up to the theme of the
song.In the song their love for each other
was like the circles in the sand.Yes the
song,Circle In The Sand was catchy given
Belinda Carlisle three hit songs with this
album.It proves to be her best first time
on MCA lable.
I just love when she came this pretty
song A World Without You.It's one my
favorite Belinda Carlisle's songs
on this album,with her signature pin
black and white gloves,this song just
drives me wild.It so romantic,pretty,
understanding,and loving,yet so very
powerful.Yes she's a dream girl meets
I was sad that Deep Deep Blue-
Ocean was never released as a real
single.The song is sure gold,not only
in Belinda's voice,but the lyrics and
music are so beautiful to the song,
about how she feels about her sweet-
Belinda's Fool For Love
was another rockin' good
time song,that is pure gold.
